Map the macro controls to your MIDI device and play the patches!
Most of the patches are created with random MIDI input from Autopoplay by Altar Of Wisdom.
Some of the FX patches are designed to be used with one legato MIDI note.
Have an eye on the transpose settings and the key of your track.
If you are using Autoplay, adjust the density of the sequencing accordingly to the style of the patch.
For static, simple FM leads I use a higher density of triggering while recording the patch.
For FX style patches with longer envelopes that are more unpredictable, I design them in a way that a lower density triggering
is prefered to let the single individual sound "gestures" evolve fully and prevent the patch from "tripping over its own feet".
Especially with using random delay modulation.
I use theese patches in sessions where I individually record them into single long audio clips.
Theese I use exclusively for the arrangement of a track afterwards. I basically never arrange "manual" with MIDI clips and theese patches. Its all preRecorded audio clips.
I have seen people using my patches in this "manual" way and the results were very different and unpredictable.
It might be the case that you have to check/adjust the envelopses and/or remove some modulation if you want to use them more "manually".
Bass and a little talking about the pack:
Why are there no bass presets inside my Vital banks?
Simple answer: I dont make by basslines with Vital!
Complex answer: Again, this is my personal bank! I also build theese banks for myself as a got to toolkit for sound design sessions! There are no presets in there I built just for the pack and wont use for myself!
Personally, I never found any use for preset packs that where designed just for the point of selling it.
There is no personality in it and I dont find the little tweaks and ideas for clever modulations that inspire me do craft my own patches!
